I have always liked shopping in their garden area and have shopped there during the day, however my husband and I went in the evening to look for a cordless drill. We went on January 2nd. Not only was it the wrong time of month to go but also the wrong time of day. We waited for help for approximately 45 minutes. We are elderly and my husband was leaning on the drill display and accidently touched a wire where the drills are connected to an alarm. Alarm went off and still nobody came to turn off the alarm or help us. I went to the cashiers on one side of store and husband went to cashier where contractors pick up and pay for their supplies. Still nobody came. They called 3 times in the 45 minutes we were there for help in tool section. Finally a manager came and we determined they were completely out of the drills of every brand because they had ran a special for Christmas on every brand. I would recommend not going after a holiday and not at night.

I called Lowes in Texarkana, TX to inquire as to whether or not the store sells live potted Christmas trees of about 3 feet in height. Of course, AI answered the call. I asked AI whether or not the store sells "live potted Christmas trees of about 3 feet in height". It replied that the store had "fresh cut" live trees. I guess, Lowes' AI is none to intelligent if it considers cut Christmas trees to be the same as live potted trees. So, I asked to speak to a reptesentative, then asked for a person, then a live indivudual and fubally for an associate. After evey one of my at least 10 such requests, all in that one call, I was, after 3 minutes and 27 seconds told I would be transfered to an associate. After an additional 16 minutes and several seconds of being on hold, a woman answered the phone and told me 'yes they sell live trees' but she did not know at what height and what was the cost. She put me through to a man who, when I asked if they had live potted Christmas trees of about 3 feet in height, asked me if I had just asked if they sold "real Christmas trees". I asked again if they if they sold "live potted Christmas trees of about 3 feet in height" and he again asked if I had said "real Christmas trees". This repeated one more time after which I said something to the effect of 'forget it since you obviously don't understand English'. This one call -, of being on the phone for over 19 minutes and not getting through to anyone who could give me an answer to my simple question - has left me certain, that unless I have an emergency and no place else has what I am seeking, I ill never again shop at Lowes for anything. They obviously do not care about customers, or about giving good customer service, enough to actually answer a simple question about what goods they sell. That as evidenced by the fact their employees, and even their AI system, seemingly do not have enough intelligence to outwit a an amoeba. My search continues.

Horrible store. Employees unwilling to help. Will call for help then disappear with noone showing up to help.
