  I have shopped at this World Market location for years without issue, but today’s experience was shocking. I came in with my two young children to ask about three food storage containers I had purchased three months ago that have been contaminating my food with a chemical smell. I understand that without a receipt, options are limited. I was prepared for that. What I was not prepared for was how the manager, Desiree, treated me. From the moment I started explaining, she gave me a dismissive, irritated facial expression and spoke to me in a sharp, condescending tone. When I told her I would be filing a complaint because of the way she was speaking to me and the look she was giving me, she responded: “Oh, you don’t like my face now? You’re calling me ugly?” This was gaslighting, plain and simple. I was naming unprofessional behavior, and she twisted it into something I never said to make me feel like I was the problem. I left shaking. My children watched their mother be dismissed and humiliated while trying to address a simple product issue. Customer service doesn’t mean you have to fix every problem… but it does mean treating people with basic respect. I didn’t receive that today, and I’m deeply disappointed in how this location is managed.

  Very poor customer service. I ordered pillows online to come pick up in store. I waited well over five minutes where no one was in line but no one at the front was helping coming over to help for online order pick . Then, all the pillows were not there even though my email confirmed that they were and I was charged for all of them. Lastly, the girl who is helping me, decided to just walk off mid conversation to take an order out to a car instead of finishing helping me and answering my questions.

  Amira is a phenomenal asset to your team. She extended impeccable customer service when I picked up my Counter table. She is to be commended. Plus, she helped unbox it so it fit in my BMW. Wow, and Amira did it with grace and care. Great Hire!
