  Had a Hot Point front loader washer, dryer and pedestals in stock and installed them the nexr day. Can't do better than that. Did it all from the comfort of my couch. Sara is my go to place for upscale appliances and has been for years.

  I have bought a few appliances from Sara Appliances in Sugar Land and have been very satisfied with the product as well as the service. Chuck, the salesperson, is very knowledgeable and, as always, have have been very helpful; making sure we get the right product and that the delivery and inspection happens as promised. The last item we purchase, a downdraft-gas-cook top, the installer Jeremy did a great job with the installation and explaining some key maintance and features. Overall experience, has been excellent.   In an era when big-box retailers increasingly encroach upon independent retailers across all product categories and can leverage price-matching technology and deliver meaningful promotional offers and loyalty programs to customers, it would seem prudent for local competitors like Sara Appliance & Electronics to differentiate itself on exemplary sales, fulfillment and post-purchase service. After giving Sara's a chance by deciding to purchase a GE Profile dishwasher from its Sugar Land store in early February rather than one of the many nearby large format competitors, I can initially say that I was pleased with and impressed by the Sales experience delivered by Rick. He was polite, knowledgeable, engaging and courteous. Sadly, a 5-star Sales experience delivered by Rick has been followed by an, at best, 2-star delivery, installation, fulfillment and post-purchase experience. To elaborate briefly, upon appliance delivery by an independent 3rd Party contractor, Nugent Appliance Technologies, I was told that some of my installed plumbing componentry was incompatible with the piping and components accompanying the dishwasher. Admittedly, I bear some responsibility for not thinking to ask whether there would be any plumbing considerations to think about before purchasing one brand of appliance or another but the fact that the majority of the homes in the greater area were all constructed within 10-20 years of one another, it would seem that plumbing standards and fittings should largely be common across homes and therefore not require additional (and incremental financial outlays) plumbing work to accommodate a common brand of appliance. At a minimum, it would have been helpful for the knowledgeable party in this transaction, Rick, to at least have mentioned this as a possible point of consideration and cost before completing my purchase before having a "hidden" cost imposed on me by having to hire a plumber to make infrastructure changes to accommodate my new appliance. This written, the underwhelming post-purchase experience has largely been a result of my experience with Nugent Appliance Technologies. Although Jeremy has been courteous, his company's timeliness of communication, fulfillment and complete appliance installation (still not done fully done in mid-March) owing to a missing kickplate that neither Rick at Sara's or Jeremy from Nugent Appliance Technologies bothered to follow up on. Although I wouldn't categorically rule out considering Sara's again for a future appliance purchase on account of Rick's competency, they and their 3rd party installation and fulfillment contractor failed to differentiate themselves on the Service component of the purchase of a heavy-duty item. Therefore and in my considered and experientially-informed judgment, I would say that Sara's, despite its local heritage, merits no special consideration in relation to larger, nearby peers including Lowe's, Best Buy and Home Depot.

  Our sales rep Chuck was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable of all the products. He listened to our needs and wants and guided us to the perfect product. Our installer Jeremy was also very knowledgeable and experienced. With our island kitchen it was difficult to install a new refrigerator but Jeremy had all the knowledge and experience Bing necessary and made the work go smoothly and we are completely pleased with the installation. I would look forward to working with both on our next appliance purchase and installation. They are both professionals that anyone would be happy to work with.
