  In the winter of 2023 we hired Mirror Lake to landscape our newly renovated house. The first proposal they showed us was $250,000 for just the backyard, which was laughable. We ended up spending around $100,000 for the front and back, which is a serious chunk of change. This did include a significant amount of hardscape, including low walls around beds and a new fire pit area. The designers were all very nice and easy to work with. HOWEVER, I will say that a fair number of plants did not make it. Some due to not enough sun or too much sun or who knows why. I had no intention of calling Mirror Lake about any of these, but replaced things as they died on my own. But when two very large and expensive holly trees in the front both died. I did call them. An arborist I had hired for an unrelated tree in the backyard took a look at the two obviously sick Hollie’s for me. He showed me how they had been planted too low, causing root rot and a slow demise. I called Mirror Lake and Richard agreed to come look. In the meantime I called my sprinkler guy out to go over all of the heads now that the landscaping had grown up a bit. He saw the now totally dead trees, took one look at them and said “those trees are planted too low”. Richard decided they were not planted too low and that it was past the 3 month guarantee. I pointed out that the root rot did occur during the first 3 months because THEY WERE PLANTED TOO LOW. The root ball was well below the grass level. You can see this in the photos of the dying trees. Nothing else around them was dead. It seemed so obvious. He offered to replant them for $2000. I declined of course. I hired the arborist to replant and you can see the difference in the photo. Just know if you hire this company that you are paying a ridiculous amount of money and once they have it they really are done with you

  I am so pleased with Mirror Lake Designs… Where do I Begin? Let’s start with the landscaping design for my front and backyard, now with Beautiful curb appeal and a sexy sanctuary that I can enjoy with friends and family. Oh and the privacy fence and Pergola and stone walkways are Amazing!! I love their attention to detail, it’s very impressive. They listened and delivered my every desire into each project and I will only and always call Mirror Lake designs for any outdoor beautification projects forevermore!! Now, to decorate !😁😇🥰 I want to Thank Richard, Ian and the entire crew for all their hard work and dedication to my perfect little place of peace and tranquility! Mariah LaVetta Oweibo
