- JJJamieNov 9, 20251.0Let me start off by saying I love Lowes. Birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day etc...my family and friends know they can't go wrong with getting me a Lowes gift card. This review is geared towards an employee (named Carol) rather than the location. Carol is about 100 years old and attends to the self check-out kiosks. Her obvious discrimination against brown and black people is a direct reflection of the racial prejudices of that era. She treats every brown and black customer as though they are stealing, criminals or as though they do not have a right to shop there. Out of respect for the elderly, I subjected myself to the discriminatory treat from Carol but before leaving the store I did speak with the store manager (Jorge). I will also reach out to corporate to further escalate this matter.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
