They include a mandatory $20 lock purchase when you sign up online and claim that it can be refunded. I tried and the staff didn't even know how to issue a refund; they only know how to credit future rent. If you're going to be in the unit for less than one month, plan on it costing you an extra $20. Edit: It took a couple of days, but they got me the refund! Five stars!
