  I had a very upsetting experience at the Michaels location near this Hobby Lobby, and this is the second time this has happened to me there. I’m a 19-year-old Black woman, and I was shopping with my younger siblings, all under the age of 10. We were simply trying to buy fabric to make a dress for my little sister’s birthday. While we were shopping, we were being watched and followed around the store. This made us extremely uncomfortable, and it was very clear that we were being treated differently. The employees were not just “coming across” as rude—they were rude. Their behavior made it obvious that we were not welcome. My younger siblings even noticed it, which made the situation even more upsetting. After finally finding the fabric we wanted, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave without buying anything. We then went into Hobby Lobby, and the difference was immediate. The environment felt welcoming right away. Employees greeted us with smiles, asked if we needed help, and treated us with respect—without following or watching us. The woman who helped cut our fabric, an older employee, was especially kind. She took the time to answer all of our questions, and when she didn’t know something, she said so politely. She made me and my siblings feel comfortable and respected. Not only was the service better, but the prices were cheaper as well. We were able to get everything we needed and more. I truly appreciate how we were treated at Hobby Lobby, especially after what we experienced at Michaels. No one should have to feel targeted or unwelcome just for trying to shop with their family.

  The store has always been infamous for having items for decor. Best place to buy decorative ribbons.

  Hobby lobby used to have 6 or more isles of just yarn it is reduced to 2 isles now, I get they might have not been able to sell as much as they were bringing in and decided to reduce. Their prices are so over the top (not for yarn) for most of their items. I just could not find anything worth buying in the yarn section at this time.

  They always have everything I need here as an artist myself. They always have a bunch of discounts and sells after every holiday. The staff are always so sweet as well. I recommend coming here for any school supplies or projects to be made

  This was my first time visiting Hobby Lobby, and it exceeded expectations from start to finish. I came in looking for decorations to surprise a friend and refresh her workspace. Right at the entrance, I met Jeanette, the front-end manager, and she immediately set the tone. She pointed me to the right areas, suggested additional sections I hadn’t considered, and was pleasant and helpful the entire time. The store itself was clean, bright, fully stocked, and well staffed. Every area I walked through had employees available and willing to help. I found exactly what I needed, along with a few unexpected finds that made the project even better. What really stood out was the follow-through. While I was checking out, Jeanette came back over to make sure I found everything and to check on my experience. That level of attention made me feel seen and appreciated. I even joked with her about “moving in” because there was so much to explore and not enough time to see it all. She laughed, and we had a great conversation to close out the visit. Hobby Lobby made a strong first impression. I will be back, and Jeanette is a big reason why.
