I have never had them deliver on time and this time I talked with the guy at the dest told him I needed topsoil but all the had was "black brown" I specifically asked if it came as large clumps and that I can't use it for my purposes if it did and was that no, it has minimal clumps. 90% of my dirt is Soccer ball size clumps, hard as concrete. Wasting an entire day to make it usable

This was my first and will be my only purchase through Site One. When ordering on the website delivery showed $75. The website also states that a team member will review the order and contact with final price if there is a change. I also asked for afternoon delivery. I don’t hear anything from them, so I assumed my order was good for afternoon delivery and the price was accurate. The delivery guy arrived at approx 8am. No one informed me the afternoon time I requested didn’t work. As a result, I had to end a work meeting to deal with the delivery. The delivery driver was very nice and accommodated where I wanted the stone dropped. This is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Further disappointment was later that day seeing an email from the night before where they increased the delivery cost from $75 to $140. This is not good communication. Had I been properly informed about this, I likely would have cancelled my order as it’s significantly higher than the previous yards I’ve ordered from. Had I chose to keep the order, at least I would have a positive feeling from the experience because I was told about the change and had the opportunity to ask why the cost increased. Now I’m left feeling it’s a sneaky business practice to increase profit. On a more positive note, they have a massive selection of stone, pavers, rock and mulch. Competitive prices on the rock I chose. Others I looked at were higher price than competitors and some were cheaper, so it’s good to shop around. Perhaps purchasing in store creates a better experience, but if the website cannot be accurate, it would be better to either eliminate the ordering option (at least not taking payment). Or, when there is a change in price to speak the customer and get consent to charge additional cost.

Don't waste your time. Drove a ways here and they were closed. The hours online and on their signage stated they should be open. Unprofessional. Won't work with them for our business needs. Same hour update: took advice from another poster and checked out Buckhorn. Their property is so beautiful and peaceful and they actually have trees. Easy to imagine how their materials will fit onto properties that have trees. Will give my business to them.

The guys helped me locate the pavers I needed and loaded the pickup for me. The prices were a little higher than what you'd pay at a place like Lowe's, but there's a broader inventory of products of a noticably higher quality.
