I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Arona Home Essentials in Mesquite.
I went into the store on December 27, 2025, made a payment totaling almost $200 using my bank card, and was told they could not place the order until January 1st. At that time, no contract was signed — only payment was taken, which I have receipts for.
On January 3, 2026, I called and spoke with a male employee who advised me that the couch was in stock and that I was the only delivery scheduled for Saturday, January 10th. I explained that I work during the week and attend church, so Saturday delivery needed to be early, as I plan my day carefully. I was assured this would not be an issue.
On January 6, 2026, I called again and spoke with the same male employee to double-check that everything was confirmed for January 10th. I was told everything was good and confirmed.
On the morning of January 10, 2026, I woke up at 8:00 a.m., ate breakfast, and prepared for delivery, since I was told I would be the first delivery. Around 11:00 a.m., when no one had arrived, I called the office. The young woman who originally took my payment told me she had arrived late, everything was loaded, and again confirmed that I was the only delivery scheduled. I also made it clear that I had made my full monthly payment and was confused about why there was no timing update. She assured me they would be there soon.
By 3:30 p.m., I still had no phone call, no update, and no delivery. I called the office again and explained that my time had not been respected and that there was no regard for me as a paying customer. I asked how to proceed with either receiving my goods or obtaining a refund, since I had already paid in full.
At that point, Olivia (a manager) stated that she no longer wanted to do business and said she would be issuing a refund. I asked if I could come collect the funds in cash, since the money had already left my bank account and I would otherwise have to wait additional days. She refused and said she would send me proof of the refund. As of the time of writing this review, no refund confirmation has been sent.
This business held my money for over two weeks, never delivered any furniture, never had a signed contract, failed to communicate throughout the day of delivery, and then refused to release funds immediately despite having already withdrawn them from my account. You are not a bank, and this is not how customer funds should be handled.
Because of their misinformation and lack of communication, I stayed home all day and missed church, all based on assurances made by their staff. This entire experience shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers’ time and money.
I will be filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies. I do not recommend this location.
