Worst customer service ever! Every time I go to the store I have a bad experience. It seems like the employees don’t want to work and they are so unhappy being there! Janina, specially, don’t like to be there. She treats people like we go over and ask for free things . Hobby lobby owners, please send your employees to take customer service classes! We don’t want these type of people in Mansfield ! 😡

I had a very upsetting experience at the Hobby Lobby in Mansfield on December 6, 2025. Earlier in the day, I exchanged an item and purchased a white “Joy” sign that the associate, Carleigh, wrapped for me. When I got home, I opened the bag and found the sign broken. Accidents happen, so I went back to the store that evening to exchange it.
Instead of helping, Carleigh immediately said, “It wasn’t broken when you left,” in a rude and accusatory tone. She then called the manager, Scott, who repeated the same insinuation in front of other customers. He eventually approved the exchange but told her to wrap the replacement “while I’m watching so I know it’s not broken,” which was embarrassing and completely unnecessary.
I shop at this location regularly and have made several purchases here just this week alone, so being treated this way was shocking. I left feeling disrespected, singled out, and humiliated over a simple exchange. This location needs serious customer service training because no customer should ever be spoken to or treated like this.

I'm not quite sure what the deal is with the manager at this store, but his passive-aggressive demeanor is hard to ignore. The first time I encountered it, I brushed it off. Years ago, I purchased a white TV stand with barn doors, and that was fine. Then, this year, I bought a brown TV stand with barn doors for our living room, and that’s when I really started to notice his shady comments. I suspect he was in a bad mood because he didn't have any stock staff to help him load my purchase into my truck.
However, it was during my third visit that he truly crossed the line. I was with my daughter on Black Friday, and we were in line with two cashiers available. We were waiting behind another woman who was still making her payment on the other side. Out of nowhere, this manager approached us, didn’t acknowledge anyone else, and said, “There are two lines, one here and one there,” followed by something very condescending. The woman ahead of us was taken aback by his tone. I responded firmly, letting him know that I was aware of where the line was and that I wasn’t incompetent. I asked him not to speak to me as if I were stupid.
When the cashier asked how I was doing, I replied that I was fine until he started talking to me like that. The cashier remarked that he often speaks in that manner and doesn’t realize how passive-aggressive he comes across to customers. This experience has prompted me to write a review and contact corporate because his tone is unacceptable and needs to change.
