    Great experience this time great staff and help in the lumber area that I was shopping in even tho I do everything myself and with my boss ladies opinions and thoughts, I occasionally get a couple of thoughts from employees at a few places.... But always remember that the customers are ALWAYS right no matter what, that is the foundation of a great and successful company and business owners policies bottom line you're supposed to stand behind your product bottom line if you believe in your product business and staff !!!!!! 😬😬😬🤘🤘🤘🏁🏁

    My husband and I were interested in purchasing a Yardmax 201cc 24" lawn mower that was displayed on the sales floor and appeared to be a returned, previously used item. It was being offered at a discounted price, which made it appealing to us. Before making the purchase, we kindly asked the associate in that department if he could assist us in taking the mower outside so my husband could briefly start it to ensure it was in working condition. Given that the item was used and not eligible for return, we felt it was reasonable to confirm that it functioned properly. My husband had already checked that it contained oil and fuel. However, the associate informed us that we were not allowed to test any equipment and added that he personally would not recommend purchasing it. As a result, we decided not to proceed with the purchase. While we understand there may be store policies in place, the situation was discouraging, as we were ready and willing to make the purchase if we had been able to verify that the mower was operational. Unfortunately, this interaction resulted in a lost sale.

    I only had a return to complete from an online order. When I had trouble pulling up the receipt in the Lowe's app, they were able to look it up rapidly using my phone number. I was in and out of the store quickly.

    Concerning Lowe's My Project services. This is a service by Lowe's with local trades businesses. Every time I'm disappointed. Recently, I canceled my contract to have my water heater replaced. The company that Lowe's paired with my job was with a company in Austin. I waited all afternoon for someone to come by and give me an estimate. I had to call several time in the evening to ultimately find out that there was no one coming. When someone finally did come out the next day I was given an estimate that seemed extremely excessive. I found out that it was. I made one call to a local plumbing company and found that this Austin company was going to overcharge me by $1,000. I am on a fixed income. I was going to have the work done out of necessity, but my instinct had me call around. I found a local company who was true to their word about when they would visit for an estimate and even was obliging about working around my schedule. Communication and phone numbers were very confusing with the My Project services. In addition to texting and phone calls, important messages were also relayed through email. I was constantly having to check all modes of communication. However, most of all, I could not believe the price difference for the exact same work!! Apparently this Austin Company is the only business that Lowe's contracts through so there's nothing competitive and the customer has no choice!! I approached the Lowe's manager to try to get some answers and decide if I was making the right decision or not. I learned that all of the parts necessary for the new water heater was at the most $1,100. So $2,400 was labor, nothing but labor. The Lowe's manager didn't seem to think anything was wrong with this and proceeded to tell me that permits and licenses, and several other things that he mentioned, all had to be considered in a labor cost. I told him that I fully understood but in the back of my mind I was thinking BUT NOT $2,400!!!! In order to have this work done I even had to raise my credit limit with my paid off Lowe's credit card!!! Well I'm going to continue to keep it unused and in a drawer!!! Somehow I've been drifting over to home Depot. I think I like it better!!!
