My household fell into financial hardship around July, and even then we still made payments and extensions whenever we could. Instead of working with us respectfully, the general manager Frank consistently spoke to me with disrespect and zero empathy. Because of how rude he was, I began dealing with Princeton — who was just as unprofessional, if not worse. Both interactions felt hostile, and instead of offering solutions, they escalated situations and talked down to me repeatedly. Rosalyn was the only person in that store who treated me kindly. The most recent incident was the final straw. I told Frank that I understood a payment was needed and that if a return was scheduled, to please leave a door hanger instead of knocking because I work from home and can’t have my dogs going crazy and risk losing my job. He clearly didn’t care. A few hours later, Princeton called and told me to “do the right thing and return the item,” which we aren’t able to do at the moment. He then asked me if I “knew what a charge-off is” and what an “arbitration agreement is,” speaking to me as if I’m uneducated(this might be a hard pill for you to swallow Princeton but financially struggling does not mean someone is uneducated. You don’t know me or what I’m educated on).He even claimed that a judge would “rule in their favor,” which is absolutely not how court works. A judge hears both sides — no one can predetermine that outcome. For the record, I am not even the account holder — I’m a third-party user. So threatening me with court action is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. If they want the product back, they should learn to be respectful from the start. But the managers hide behind phones and talk down to customers because they’ll never be able to handle confrontation face to face and making empty threats is unacceptable and very very unprofessional. Loan/credit card debt collectors are more professional than these people. Until Aaron’s addresses the behavior of their management team, I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. And no payment will be made on the product. Why should I pay for disrespectful service I’d rather deal with the courts instead of these uneducated unethical people.

If you can do without or go somewhere else PLEASE DO!!! You may be better off picking something up off the curb. I picked out a NEW couch and discovered it was defective when it was delivered. THREE TIMES they sent a repair man from Austin; in which I had to make an appointment and wait on for weeks; that called and documented THREE times that it was a manufactured defect that COULD NOT be fixed and they need to order a new couch or let me choose something else. THREE times they refused to let me pick something else and ordered FOUR couches of which THREE were defective in the same way. The 4th one I have now. They wanted payment for the DEFECTIVE couches... I refused until I received the 4th one which was defective as well but not as noticeable as the first 3. They tell you that your payments are on a particular date and then bug the bageebees out of you BEFORE a payment is due, starting with calling in the early mornings before they even open for business. They LIE about your account and late fees they charge at will. They are unorganized and three different people will tell you three different stories about your account, which I am going up there again in the morning to get some clarification on the different lies I'm being told. Aaron's just SUCKS ALL AROUND!!! You will be better off at Conn's, Buddies, HomeSmart, etc. anywhere other than Aaron's. I should have listened to the many people that warned me about this business. I only decided to try them because the furniture stores did not have the couches I was looking for. Smh... they talk nice in your face and on the phone and rob you of quality and your money when you blink an eye. DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT LIKE I AND SO MANY OTHERS!!!
