Yesterday my husband and I went into the store to buy boards we needed. We waited nearly an hour for a forklift operator to bring down the pallet, and no one ever showed up to help. After standing around that long, we finally gave up and left. This morning I placed the order online at 8:40 AM hoping pickup would be easier. I never received a notification that the order was ready, so at 2:30 PM I called the store. I was told the order was currently being pulled and would be ready in about 20 minutes. Based on that, I drove an hour to the store to pick it up. When I arrived, the employee at the desk told me the person who handles online orders had just left for lunch, but she would call someone else and that it would only be a few minutes. She asked me to wait in my truck. After waiting 25 minutes, I went back inside only to be told the order had not even been pulled yet, and they still needed someone to bring the pallet down. At that point I canceled the order and left. Two trips, hours of waiting, and still no product. I’ve never seen a store run so disorganized, especially with so many employees walking around who couldn’t help or provide clear information. I’ll be taking my business somewhere else.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
