The Wilson team was assigned to my tree trimming job. They were very nice and helpful as they very skillfully trimmed my trees back from my house. They did a beautiful job!!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good tree trimming.

I still recommend JRTS to everyone but my most recent experience was not great. They did a great job trimming my neighbor's oaks, but my pine tree removal was a saga. The good news is the head arborist (David) called me to personally apologize, understand what really happened and tried to make it right ...so they do care. The problem with my most recent tree removal was that they took a week to come get the large logs from my yard and 9 days to grind the stump. Every time I called (they never called me) they promised within the next 1-2 days but I was let down 3 times and argued with over the phone. They said that "the quote says it would be up to 5 days for a separate crew", but no matter how you slice it they failed to deliver. David tells me the guy who argued with me is no longer working for the company, so take that for what it's worth. For the record, the quote and invoice DID mention the stump grinding would be 1-5 days later, but it didn't mention anything about logs left in my yard after the initial crew. So again, I still will use and recommend them for keeping your best trees trimmed and healthy. I have seen how these less knowledgeable, non-arborist "companies" trim big trees (all the way to the cap) and it is not good for them. If you have large oaks, elms, maples, ashes, etc. that you want to keep around to keep your home value up, I recommend using a certified arborist like David at JRTS.

We couldn't have been happier with the work completed by Wilson and his crew at Jones Road Tree Service. We live in Montrose and had three live oaks and two magnolias trimmed away from our roof. Our live oaks are what make our property special, so we were anxious to have them trimmed for the first time since owning the home. They approached the trees with a light touch as requested, and they look more beautiful than before. Fairly priced, great communication, and our yard was left cleaner than they found it. We'll definitely be calling Jones Road Tree Service for our next fertilization and tree trimming.

I live out of state and had a house I was selling. It needed a tree removed. I had had them out several years back to for a quote but at that time I did not actually end up doing any work but I remembers them because I felt the price was fair and they are literally right around the corner. Long story short, estimator, tree demo team were awesome. As requested I received a photo of the tree down. That’s where the frustration started. I was told that the stump in the logs would be picked up the following day. The following morning I called to confirm and was told it would be the following week on Monday. On Monday, I called and confirmed that it would be done that day and was told it would be done the following day. I had stressed each time that due to the fact that I live out of state and the house was vacant. I just needed pictures of the work that was done. I called the following day and was told there was some staffing issues or someone had gotten sick. I can’t quite remember. I was told it would be the following day, which was Wednesday. Wednesday morning was confirmed. However, I had not heard from anyone. Wednesday afternoon, I called and told they were unsure if they were going to be able to get out. It was at this point in time, I voiced my frustration. The customer service rep on the phone put me on hold so that he could talk to the operations manager. I was then told that, yes, they were still planning on coming out. About 30 minutes later I received a call from a technician who is on his way to grind a stump down. During all of these conversations, I again reiterated I need photographed proof. I called the following day and was told that everything was done. They asked for payment. I told them that I still needed photos confirming everything was finished. Fast-forward a week and a half later so two weeks since the project started again was contacted for payment and explained to the nice lady on the phone that I needed photos confirming everything was finished since I lived at estate. She said she was going to talk to the operations manager, but a short time later I did receive photos. All at all they did a great job, taking the tree down and grinding the stuff. However, the communication in the office seems lacking. I am giving 5 stars as I am also in the home service industry and understand that not everything is perfect but I also don’t want to hurt their 4.9 rating.

I have used Jones Road Tree Service for 6+ years and always they were very professional and did a great job of trimming my trees. David Maul, CEO (Certified Arborist) came out and provided a detailed quote (reasonably priced), in writing, with pictures showing exactly what will be done and attached the actual their insurance policy. His office provided a schedule (day & time) to do the job, that week which was very prompt. On the day of the job the crew manager, Wilson, called on his cell phone so I had direct communication with him and he called 1 hour before, verifying when they will arrive. Wilson did a great job of explaining to his crew my requests. The job was done very professionally and very carefully, using ropes to lower the larger limbs to the ground. I was very impressed with the final results.
