  I gotta say jaiden is one of the hardest working laundry attendants ive seen. On different occasions that i come wash my clothes I've seen her working in different areas of the laundry mat. One time she was in the restroom with gloves and mop bucket and when i went to use the restroom it smelled and looked great! Another time i shocked to see her in the kids section on her knees scrubbing the walls and countertops with cleaning supplies! I cant say enough good things. She even had the most positive uplifting attitude and got along great with my wife - who by the way isnt the easiest person to please. Because of Jaiden I actually look forward to coming to do my laundry specifically at this location!! Give her a raise. Give her a managing position. Keep her around. She take this company places with customers!

  There’s a short chubby lady with red hair. Her customer service is terrible and needs to be terminated. She doesn’t like to help customers and walks around throwing baskets at people if you ask for one. If she’s asked a question, she doesn’t answer. She just walks away. I hope management sees this and do something about it because the way she treats people is not fair.

  Overly priced, buy detergent and bleach before you get there, and snacks. The washer on Aldine Bender is half the price and you don’t pay for hot water, you select what you want without an extra dollar. The small washers are $4.75 on Aldine Bender at Dasher Washer it’s $2.75 and hot very hot water. To dry here at Speed is $3.95 on Aldine Bender it’s 1.00 this place is a rip off to people who already struggling.

  Jaden is extremely polite, patient and bring a positive energy into the atmosphere. Her attention to detail and customers needs are exceptional. I was totally confused and un easy about using the new machines. Jaden stepped in and assured me that the process was easygoing and showed me the right way to i utilize the machines correctly. She even as far as watching my personal items while I stepped away to secure my clothes and other products. She is definitely a pleasure to be around and she enjoys what she does! You rock Jaden!!l

  Edit to add: Darcy was actually racist. The restrooms were closed for customers. She let me and a police officer use the restrooms. She told me it was the police officers who had broke the restroom so it would need to be closed. When a black female customer who had washed many loads needed to use the restroom she was flat out refused. When i looked at Darcy she said she picks and chooses who to let use the restroom. Inferring that she didn't want to let the woman use the restroom because she was black. This was disappointing because i had shared im a cancer patient and she let me use the restroom. But giving me access but denying someone access because we don't know their sob story isn't okay. Racism isn't okay. I noticed there's a lot of angry people in Houston and I'm assuming this crap is why. So i promised the woman i would change my review which i had already done at that point so that mgmt can know how their staff is. Darcy also let me know that staff, her and on particular another couple who work there in tandem will take your clothes if you leave them unattended. She had a lot of complaints about a lot of people. I tried to tell her that she's her own worst enemy and to just focus on herself and her work. And this review shows the duality of people and businesses. Because they were good to me but shitty to the woman who was also spending money. And why are officers even allowed to use the restroom there if they are the ones who busted it. Outside of their duties and especially because they are well compensated, businesses need to treat cops like regular citizens as this catering to them gives them the mental ammo to walk around feeling entitled. No one is against an officer helping them. Its their job. What we are all tired of is cops acting entitled. And after all spending was done i spent more at speedqueen than i would have at my local washateria that has a gas station and snacks and equal access restrooms and attendants that keep it clean w/o racism ... Let me start by saying i loved the 80s and coin machines in Laundromats and i looooathe technology because simple things i cant do. So i got here to speed queen on little york rd and i arrived w a scratched eye from old contact lenses, a broken pair of glasses on and 4 duffels of very we been cooking up some good stuff at home and now everything smells horrid loads of clothing and blankets. I wanted to take advantage of the deal for new customers. My coupon disappeared and i was feeling down but darcy came and said hello and welcomed me in w such a warm smile that i told her my woes. She got my coupon working and i saved 9 dollars. I then was very confused at the machine to pay which was actually really awesome because you dont need to put money on a card because i always lose them. She helped me get my payment through and was super sweet about it with me standing there looking like a pirate w a patch over one eye and doing my best to not crash out cuz the smell of fried fish on my clothes was making me panic. The fish was great. The smell on all my laundry and blankets not so much. But darcy had the laundromat looking good smelling good, sounding good and she gave such excellent customer service for my technologically disabled self that the machine is super cool imo now. You fill your machines then swipe your card after you select your washer number and you never need to load a card but a card etc so the hippie in me who is all omaigaaa yess lets save the turtles was very happy that no plastic was wasted in this situation. And she gave some sympathy about my messed up eye. If you loathe getting those laundry cards and having that 2 dollars you lose to the laundry card gods then i suggest you come to speed queen and chat w Darcy who even informed me of the soap and laundry supply specials. I didnt think doing my laundry could ever make me feel fancy but Darcy is such a helpful delight i could see her being a concierge at a five star hotel helping important folks get things done to make their stay more enjoyable. Thanks Darcy Its so lovely and clean here.
