Edit: 2/18/26 - After reaching out to the local customer service email provided, I have not received a response or assistance. I have researched the issue with my new furniture and believe the battery packs installed are undersized for the intended use, resulting in the need to recharge every few days. This behavior is not typical or acceptable for premium custom furniture and was never disclosed at the time of purchase. This is not a comfort issue — it is a material product limitation related to the power system that most owners would reasonably expect to function without frequent recharging. I am seeking escalation to a department that can address this, including: - confirmation of higher-capacity battery options, -AC wall-powered adapter solution, -return exception or alternate resolution given the omission in disclosure. If anyone from corporate customer support can assist or direct me to the appropriate escalation team, please reach out. Orginal Post: As with most retail furniture stores, the salesperson we worked with was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. We ordered a custom living room set delivered in December, consisting of a leather sectional and two power recliners, each equipped with remote reclining and battery packs. After delivery, we followed the manufacturer’s instructions to fully charge the batteries before installing them. Within a few days, the chairs began emitting audible alerts indicating the batteries needed recharging. This cycle has continued consistently, requiring recharging every few days despite minimal use of the power features. After several months of use, it is clear that these batteries do not hold a charge in a way that would be reasonably expected for premium, custom furniture. This limitation was never disclosed at the time of purchase. When I contacted the store seeking a customer service contact, I was told the store could handle the issue. I was then informed that charging the batteries every 3–4 days is simply “how it works,” and no solution, alternative battery option, wired power alternative, or refund was offered. We would not have purchased these pieces had we known they required this level of ongoing maintenance. We are requesting a reasonable resolution from La-Z-Boy, such as upgraded battery options, a wired power alternative, or a return exception given that this limitation was not disclosed prior to purchase.

Avoid this location at all cost. Tyler and Sherry specifically could care less about customer care after the sell.

Bought a 5000$ chair a year ago and the remote went out so i went back and asked if i could have another remote. Some snotty little kid acted like that i was dumb for coming in. Saying this is a retail store not a repair center. Ok im smart enough to use my power probe to diagnose the chair.... go to farmers branch store they were helpful and scheduled a repair for me

Seat was damaged. They came over replaced it with one that was worse. They picked up the chair brought it back in the same condition. I would not buy another chair from expensive Lazy Boy.
