He was aware I was coordinating someone to show up at the same time, and he instead opted to show up extremely late and without communicating his updated ETA. Very disrespectful of my time and the other person's time. In addition, despite asking in advance, I was not told the price until he was at the door. $400 for 20 minutes of work has got to be one of the highest rates in the nation for pretty much any profession, let alone a locksmith service. The price seemed exploitative of the situation. I provided my credit card information to the dispatch service at the time of ordering the service. Then when the locksmith showed up, he was asking to be paid via Venmo. I called the dispatch service back and could not get a straight answer as far as the correct payment method, nor would they verify the $400 rate. There is virtually no way I will recommend this service to anyone. I will probably actively tell others to avoid this service. Extremely dissatisfied. Update: Key.me corporate were the ones who told me to reach out for resolution, then when I did, they said "Oh, you know what? That wasn't us. That was a third party using our name. You need to reach out to them." Well, the third party obviously doesn't care about my issue or they would've been the ones to ask me to reach out. I don't even know what the escalation/resolution would be. What do I even tell them, "Corporate told me to call you for escalation?" If Key.me cares at all about customer satisfaction, this kind of seems like something they should be handling on their end considering it's someone using their name and doing an unsatisfactory job. They should be the ones reaching out to the third party. Just ridiculous. I maintain that I am an active detractor of this company. I wanted to update my review with this statement, so it's clear that the appearance of customer support is only a facade.
