  Very helpful manager and staff. They go above and beyond to take care of their customers. The grounds are always clean, brightly lit, and very secure.

  I did quite a bit of research before choosing a storage facility and I'm so glad I chose this facility. It was so helpful to have an actual person on site (most places actually don't have anyone there). I didn't catch her name but she was super helpful and nice and dealt with my annoying questions with a smile. The facility is super clean and easy to access and there are carts available. When you sign up you have choices - you can go month to month or lock in for a few months and you can choose to have daytime access only or 24 hour access for a higher price. Definitely sign up on line because rates are cheaper and there are often specials. I was pretty annoyed that when I called (you get a central number, not the local office) to ask about a unit that I had seen online she locked me in on that specific unit at a higher price than it was on-line, making it unavailabe to me at the lower price. That pissed me off so I chose a smaller unit which made them lose money because I would have paid more had I booked the original unit at the online price. There's an app which is supposed to allow you to open the gates automatically with the app but it wasn't working the day I accessed it, which is a bummer. Hopefully that won't be an ongoing problem. Also I'm a bit concerned there will be rent increases based on other reviews which warn that rates jump after about 3 months. For these reasons I would probably give it only 4 stars but the lady at the front was so so nice I'm giving 5 stars. She made up for all that nonsense.

  I found ESS online while googling for storage. They offered a decent online rate. I was able to choose and pay for my storage online. I arrived to the location and it was clean and spacey. I have been a tenant for nearly a year now and their representatives are amazing, understanding, and friendly; characteristics you don't find at many or if any storage facilities. They offer a few grace period days and other options if you need to change your payment dates for any reason because they understand life happens. Again, a level of service that most facilities do not offer. These are the qualities that make Extra Space Storage a great facility to choose.
