When he passed away YESTERDAY, the store REFUSED to let her leave work — even though management knew her situation and the relationship she had with him. This kind of response shows a complete lack of compassion and empathy toward an employee facing a personal tragedy. No one should have to choose between their job and being with their family during such a painful moment.
