They know it is a hassle to move your stuff so they creep the rate here and there hoping you won’t move. When asked why the rate is so high, the standard answer is that “We base the rates on location and demand, so a high rate means all our units are rented.” Then you check online and find the same unit at the same location for $161/month. So I made a new account and moved my stuff down the hall in the same building. After 4 months, the rate increased 50% from $161 to $241. I go online today and the current rate for the same unit is $117/mo. I’m sick of this bait and switch. This is a known practice in this industry, but my lord, this is usury.

I must have forgot to lock my unit last night and they called this morning to let me know when they were doing lock checks. Very secure facility and would highly recommend! The front desk is also very friendly and helpful.
