    Subject: Urgent Issue With Defective Furniture and Unacceptable Service Experience Hello, I am writing to provide an update—and to express serious concern—regarding the $4,000 piece of furniture we received. The repair technician confirmed that the item arrived broken, and that the drawer requires new guides. This defect was present upon delivery; there is no possible way it could have been caused by normal use, especially considering that a person under 150 pounds was using it. When I called the 214 number provided, I was told that in order to receive a complete replacement, I would have needed to report the issue by day 3, not day 13. By that logic, using this furniture would have cost us over $361 per day—which is completely unreasonable, and no customer would ever consider that acceptable. To make matters worse, I was told that replacement parts have already been ordered and will be shipped directly to my home—even though I did not give permission for that. On top of all this, the salesperson who happily assisted us before the sale has not replied to any emails since the purchase. There are many other furniture stores available to customers in our area—Ashley, Star, Haverty, Furniture Row—and experiences like this make it very clear why people choose to shop elsewhere. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue, including clarification on why the defective condition was not handled appropriately and why parts were ordered without my authorization. Surely someone besides the order person's supervisor can handle this issue. Thank you. Update: On 02/03/26, Yolanda informed me that her supervisor, Valarie, would be calling me. As of 02/29, I still have not received any contact from the supervisor. I then reached out to the corporate office and was eventually able to speak with Brenda. According to Brenda, La Z Boy only provides a 1 year warranty, and most decisions are handled at the local store level. I explained my concern: If it took one month just to have someone look at the furniture, and we are already 8 weeks into a 52 week warranty, any additional delays—such as time needed for repairs—could put us at 11–15 weeks. If the repairs do not resolve the issue, even more time would be lost, meaning we could end up with expired warranty coverage and broken furniture. Brenda stated she would have the local store technician reach out. That was on 02/12/26. Five days have passed, and no one from the store—owner or otherwise—has contacted me. It is clear that the standard expectation for customer call backs within 3 days does not seem to apply at La Z Boy. Hello MR/MRS OWNER - HOW MUCH LONGER BEFORE i HEAR FROM YOU. It's been 2 weeks and nothing from you at all.

Less than 30 days after delivery of a $4K+ piece of furniture, we noticed multiple issues — the drawer kept getting hung , when you reclined it started to squeeze the whole thing was leaning. When the repair person finally came, they confirmed the frame was bent. A brand‑new, expensive item shouldn’t need repairs right out of the gate. At that price, a replacement should be the obvious solution. The lack of support after the sale is unacceptable. There are plenty of other furniture stores in the BCS area, and I’d strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.

    Brandon in sales did a great job for us - Very respectful and easy to work with. Blake was very helpful as well when it came time to pick up our order. Will definitely be back for more in the future! Much better experience here than at the location in The Woodlands.

    MULTIPLE UPDATES ON THIS REVIEW. PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING FROM THE COLLEGE STATION LOCATION. We purchased a power recliner chair on 9-9-25 in order for me to prepare for shoulder surgery and sleep in it the first several weeks. HOWEVER, on 10-7-25 the chair broke. The screws pulled out of the rocking base. We called Daniel he said that he can only do something within three days. Next we called customer service which stated the chair will have to be picked up and taken to Houston for repair. The time frame is two too three weeks. They said a tech can come out and request parts but that is not the fastest route. We thought purchasing a name brand product would not have issues and if we did the warranty and tech service would be better. UPDATE.. 10-9-25 Customer support called back the same day that we had called 10-7-25 and was willing to send us the part to install but if we broke anything the chair would not be warrantied. We received the part two days later and the chair is now repaired. UPDATE.. 10-28-25 We were supposed to get the chair tax exempt and followed exactly what our salesman "DANIEL" said. We had the paperwork submitted quickly within a couple days, doctors note and all. We checked with him today because he said that it could take up too six weeks to process. We received an email back from "DANIEL" stating that "he was not aware but the paperwork had to be completed before delivery" and we cannot get the refund. The paperwork was submitted two days too late. They will not honor their words nor back up their mistakes. UPDATE..11-3-2025 After multiple emails and much of our personal time with upper level customer service they refunded our tax money. THANK YOU to customer service, we appreciate you making everything right, not our local store. I personally will not do business with our local College Station store again.
