I highly recommend that anyone needing building supplies go anywhere except Lowe’s in Cleburne. McCoys has great service. Home Depot is also a step above. My family has had a construction business for 30+ years in Cleburne and did business with Lowe’s daily. Today was the last time I will step foot in the store after a series of a few months of events.
Event 1 - Went to Lowe’s to get about 30 sheets of OSB, ~100 studs, and misc. supplies. It was just myself and my wife and 4 year old boy. When I checked out I asked if anyone could help me load and the 2 gentlemen at the pro counter said “it’s our lunch break sorry your out of luck”. Multiple Lowe’s employees walked past while my wife helped me load all the OSB and studs. Probably took me an hour right in front of main door and not a single person offered to help.
Event 2 - Today I went to get 150 pieces of Hardie siding and trim for a project. I asked if there were any flat carts and the employee told me that it’s embarrassing to say that only 2 flat carts exist in store which are both being used. Recommendation was to go to Home Depot to get the siding which I did. This took significantly more time out of my busy day and is another unacceptable example of the service Lowe’s is offering.
Half the time you show up to Lowe’s literally every cart in the store is in the parking lot and they recommend you go retrieve one yourself so you can shop. I guess the motto is they won’t have to help if they don’t sell anything. This store has a culture problem. I know multiple contractors all with the same attitude and only shop at Lowe’s for something small of when absolutely necessary.

Lowes used to be a pretty good place to do business but it seems like they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Today I went to 3 different Lowes trying to locate a 15 inch round piece of wood. The first Lowes had 5 in stock but there were none to be found. The second Lowes had just one but it was broken in half. This one had an inventory but none were found. I called the third Lowes and was informed they had just one available. I asked them to hold it for me, I was informed to go to the front desk and they would have it. I arrived and asked the front desk for that item. They didn't have it. I was tod to go to another desk and ask them. 2nd desk didn't have it either. I decided to walk the wood department to see if I could find that one that was available. I found it and 11 others. They had a dozen. Each Lowes failed on such an easy request. I guess from now on, I'll just shop with Home Depot.

Great customer service! Kevin helped us with lifting a fire pit. He was so friendly and helped us with the Christmas decor as well. There was another younger girl working, (sorry I didn't get her name - it was a Sunday evening) but she was so friendly! Both of these people were great with my little girl. We will come to this Lowe's instead of the Burleson one anytime because of the customer service.
