    My wife & I are having a baby shower on 1/15/26, and we have no outdoor furniture so we ordered a sofa through Lowe's on 12/20/25. It was scheduled to arrive early. On 12/27/25 I was notified that the delivery address on my order was changed to Rowling Heights, CA. I chat with a live agent from Lowes who assured me the shipment is actually coming to my address in TX. After I hung up, I wasn't convinced. I called Fedex. They said Lowes likely requested a new address. On 12/31 I called Lowes and they told me it was actually going to CA, but they couldnt do anything to re-route the order (this was before it was delivered). That employee told me that Lowes would make things right by sending me a new sofa, and tracking number should be coming that day. It never came. I called back and instead of fixing the delivery or giving me an immediate refund, I was told it's the vendor's fault, and that I need to wait another 48 hours - they had talked to the vendor and wanted to see if they'll ship me the new sofa. It was also hinted to me that if I ask for a manager, I could get my $600 of giftcards refunded via email. The vendor never reached out to me. I called Lowes once again (at least 5hrs of calls and chats at this point), and they told me they couldnt resend the product. The only option, they told me was to request a refund, where that process takes 10 days and more to send via the mail. I asked for an electronic giftcard refund for my purchase. I need a sofa prior to then, so I'm probably going to have to pay for this out of pocket without it and be stuck with $600 at lowes that I dont need to use. They rejected my request for electronic delivery and are sitting with my money for next 10+ days. All said, they'll have had my $ for ~1 month without a product, after telling me one thing only to have not actually followed through on their verbal contract and to actually go back on their word after. ...Every time I called back I learned they didn't follow through on promises

    I recently made an online order for pick up. The item they picked for me was beat to hell with holes in the box and parts sticking out. Nope. They also do that thing where they close all the registers and force everyone to self checkout. And they wonder why retail is dying.
