  Went into Bastrop, TX. Hobby Lobby to make a return on several items I had purchased earlier in the day. I first put a large sign on the counter and was waiting for the cashier to move it so I could put the other items I was holding on the counter. That is when she handed me a refund receipt for the sign. I said Ma'am I am returning everything. She said " Everything "? She (Misty) Then started unwrapping some items and slamming them down on the counter. I told her I was sorry I upset her. She ignored me and continued slamming breakable items on the counter. I then asked to speak to a manager. Misty then said " I just got embarrassed because I didn't ask if you were returning everything . I guess she thinks that justifies her behavior. I told her I wouldn't be paying for stuff she breaks buy slamming them on the counter. I then finish helping her take the items out of the bag. Got my refund and left. I sat in my car and looked at the 2 receipts which didn't add up to the original total. I went back into the store and asked to speak to the Manager. When he came out I explained what Misty did and that because she didn't put it all on one refund it was shorting me money. Eric (the manager) did not apologize for anything! He told me he wasn't sure if he could do anything because the items had already been returned. I told him he needed to figure it out, that was Misty's mistake. I wouldn't be paying for his employee to slam items down on the counter at me. He had to go call someone, came back and said he was going to try it. Got another employee Christina ( which was very kind and apologetic for the way I was being treated). While she was trying to fix the mistakes on the first transaction, I told Eric that I was appalled that a Christian based business allows employees to treat customers like that. No apology, he said he was trying to get my refund. I asked who his boss was, he said he could give me the corporate number (Eric, the "manager " gave me a fax number). Waiting to see if I get my money back. Thankfully no one was hurt while Misty slammed the glass items down on the counter.

  Lovely store but ruins everything when you have to stand in line for half an hour to checkout when there’s 3 employees and a manager standing by the doors watching the line grow through the isles and only 2 registers open

  This is a good sized store. I came looking for fabric, though, and was pretty disappointed by the lack of selection. They seemed to have a good selection of other products, though, so I'll definitely be back, especially for home decor items! I really like that they have a good amount of Christian items, and plenty of things that will look great in my farm house. The store was nice and clean, employees were friendly, but there seemed to be a lack of knowledge of departments outside of each employees responsibilities. I had to wait a while at the fabric counter, rang the bell twice, eventually somebody walked past. I asked her if she worked on fabric, she didn't, but said she would get someone there for me. She didn't. Eventually someone else walked past. He checked the schedule and realized nobody was working that. Department that day. Anyway, he was able to assist me. I got my fabric and love it. Again, clean store, very friendly employees, good selection... except for fabric. I'll be back, though.
