Returns are very difficult here! Just keep the receipt, because they are unhelpful otherwise.

Lowe's seems, in some cases to have a broader, less picked over selection than Home Depot, but I won't go to this store again. Aside from the inconvenient layout, I did not appreciate being followed and questioned by security guards. That kind of thing drives you back to Home Depot.

The difference between them and home depot is like day and night. Love their products and services.

Visited Lowe’s on Stassney today was extremely frustrated with the process for purchasing 3rd party gift cards. Thought it would be convenient to grab a gift card while making a purchase, BIG mistake! The gift cards for other stores is located in the middle of the store grab one on my way to self check out, while checking out got assistance from associate who them said I couldn’t purchase gift card there and had to walk back to customer service. My sister who was shopping with me and paying at next register over was able to purchase a gift card with no issue. Told my sister dilema as I was walking back to customer service and she was in process of trying to purchase at self check out when same associate cakes up to use and said you can’t purchase it there, however terminal was allowing us to. I attempted to explain to her that it had allowed my sister to purchase gift card when she cut me off and said it wouldn’t let us do it. I again explain that she had already made the purchase and she called manager over. My sister waited there to have manager explain that it can be purchased at self check out but your not suppose to (confirmed gift card had been activated). At this point I had walked over to customer service at opposite end of store past the gift card section where there is no sign/notice stating policy. Customer service rep a help purchase gift card with same process as self check out. I asked why and her response was it’s policy because of fraud, that someone could come in with a stolen debit/credit card and purchase gift cards. I told her if that is process they should have gift cards at customer service. With all that said if this is store policy having policy posted would be helpful, and if to avoid fraud I would have thought customer service would as for ID which they did not. Feedback would be to post sign with instruction for purchasing gift cards at gift cards, updating terminals at self check out to prevent purchase if really trying to stop fraud and having associates better explain “policy”.
