I tried another kiosk but the prices were almost double and that machine was encouraging an extra fee/service to make sure the key worked well….that seems sleazy. I ended up going to a regular locksmith shop instead. But the kiosk has worked for me in the past so this is an okay option in a pinch now that I know they refund botched jobs and wrong mystery keys 🤨🔑. Original review: I have used this kiosk several times before and been very happy with the results. I made the mistake of not checking the keys right away, and found out that this time I used it that the copies that it gave me were for some other key, similar to mine, but not correct. I will now be looking into how to get a refund, and find out if it thought that my key was compatible, but wasn’t, and how to avoid this problem in the future. It’s so strange that I had to double check my key ring, and I don’t even have another key of that style that I could have confused it with. I worry that I got the key “data” from whoever used it before me.
