- FTFocus Realty, TM6 days ago3.0I have tried these machines twice. The first key I had to file 1/8” off to make it work. The second works but is not a precise cut. The key machines in Home Depots (Key Hero I think) make much more precise copies for about half the price. But in a pinch if you’re closer to HEB than Home Depot, and have tools like a file in your truck, plus an extra $5 per key…. Maybe just drive the extra mile to Home Depot. Best of all is to have a human cut the key for you.
