We're offering safe Alterations services for your convenience. During your in-store Alterations appointment, you can expect a safe environment where a mask is provided to you. Alterations employees will also be staying safe in both a mask and gloves. We'll take precautions such as increased sanitization in fitting rooms. If you had alterations being completed before our store closures and your completed garments are ready for pickup, we'll reach out to coordinate complimentary shipping of items directly to you. If safe Contactless Curbside Pickup is available at your store, you can choose to pick up completed garments via this method or have them shipped to you.

- MSMarisol Sobek4 days ago1.0Nordstrom Alterations ruined an expensive gown the day before the gala I was supposed to wear it to. Without asking for my permission—or, evidently, even checking whether the fabric could safely be steamed—they steamed the gown. The steaming shrank the fabric to the point that the dress no longer fits. When I asked how they planned to resolve the situation, the only option they offered was for me to bring the dress back so they could “steam it more.” They also suggested that while they looked at my gown, I should browse the store to purchase a replacement dress from Nordstrom (at full price). The gown they ruined wasn’t even purchased from Nordstrom, so their "solution" was that after their alterations department damaged my dress, I should buy a new one from them.

I was told to open a Nordstrom credit card so that I could use the $200 alterations benefit. It turns out the benefit was not applicable towards the item because it was purchased online, not in-store, despite what the workers told me. I'm now out $260 for hemming on a dress because the employees lied in order to hit a quota on credit card openings.

I am pregnant and so a lot of alterations were needed to make the dress fit me nicely up top. Eladia was the fitter working with me and she was wonderful! Friendly and very competent!
