    I purchased a recliner sofa the end of 2023 from this store. Sales person was awesome. However she is no longer there. Love the sofa. I purchased the 5 year extended warranty for $575. Something I usually don’t do. I unexpectedly moved out of TX in 2024. One side of the recliner stopped working around this Christmas. Called the 800 number on warranty card. My current zip code, my old zip code in TX nor the store where purchased in TX zip code was honored. I called our local La-z-boy stores. There are 3 in my area. They told me that it shouldn’t be an issue. Call the store in TX and they usually transfer the warranty. I placed a call to TX, spoke with Tyler the store manager and was referred to Josh. His specialty is taking care of the warranty calls. Josh is extremely degrading and arrogant. I was told that I was wrong about the zip codes not being honored. My extended warranty was only good in certain cities in TX. They would NOT transfer the warranty. He informed me that they don’t EXPECT you to move. I might be entitled to a partial refund. I was NEVER informed at the time of purchase that the warranty was only valid in TX. I had a CERTIFIED repair person from a local La-z-boy store in AL to come and repair my sofa. I had to pay $150 service call. After waiting several days I called Josh back to check again on a transfer of warranty because I was told by the repair person that the warranties are usually transferred. Josh said he couldn’t transfer the warranty. I informed him he didn’t want to. He said they were a franchise. All of the stores in my area AL and FL are also franchises. They have transferred their warranties to as far as Nevada. He had to figure out how much refund to give me. I will be getting $345 back. I would NOT recommend purchasing the extended warranty from this store unless you are 100% sure you will not be moving. Now by them refusing to transfer my extended warranty I am out of the warranty. I don’t have the option of purchasing one where I live now because you must purchase at the time you purchase the furniture.

    My husband and I were very pleased with, La-Z-Boy representative, SHERRY LAZOR. We had purchased a La-Z-Boy chair, online, at a higher price. Sherry called and offered the same chair at a lower price, and at a lower delivery charge and quicker delivery date. This process of canceling the higher online order and ordering the same chair at a lower price was all handled by Sherry. Sherry is a credit to the La-Z-Boy company.

    I was greeted by a very helpful and courteous salesman, Tyler Sparks. He asked about the products I was looking to see. I replied that I was a lifelong La-Z-Boy owner and I wanted a new chair with electric drive and in leather like my 15-year-old manual chair for tall recliners. He showed me those recliners. I tested a nice brown leather (similar to my manual) electric remote-controlled recliner. Taylor quoted the prices of the two finalists and commented on the difference between the two (very informative and helpful). I made my decision based on his advice and my budget and my tastes for brown color. Within only 30 minutes in the store at the Allen Outlets location, I had found and purchased my new favorite recliner. Tyler even suggested I donate the chair being replaced to a Veterans "chairity" (pun intended). His composure, knowledge, and expression with the customer will have me be a future customer Furthermore, I will recommend my friends to the La-Z-Boy products at this location and especially to see Tyler Sparks. This was my best experience today after a long day shopping for various things around Allen, Fairview, and Plano. Photo is the 15yr old Manual Chair I match with an electric powered recliner.
