  Yesterday afternoon I went to buy some items for my charcuterie business and I witnessed a family get treated very poorly. They were buying multiple items which seemed as if it was for a wedding (which is besides the point). But I witnessed the treatment the cashier gave them and it was just sad to see how she didn’t want to wrap their vases up and bag it for them. She had the worst attitude towards them and only that family. She had them wrap and bag everything themselves and they seemed to be such a sweet family because they didn’t argue back with the cashier. The customers bagged and wrapped their own items and to top it all off the cashier didn’t want to give them their receipt in their hands. I’m not sure if it was due to their race ( seemed as if they were a Hispanic family) and the cashier was white. But the family left completely embarrassed. I saw a customer run outside to apologize to them because of that poor pathetic cashier. HOBBY LOBBY DO BETTER WHEN HIRING PEOPLE. People go to spend money, not get stuff for free and I am just sick to my stomach in seeing the way that cashier treated these people. This family spend a hefty amount of money yesterday on their items so it wasn’t for free and for them to get tested the way they did was ridiculous and sad to see. Hobby lobby in Smyrna, TN do better when hiring.

  I was there this afternoon with my one year old. We were shopping for fabric supplies to make Christmas stockings. My toddler was entertaining herself by playing with the buttons. I put them back where they belonged when she was done. An employee saw me and said thanks for doing that, because a regional manager is in today. I reaffirmed that I always clean up after my toddler. She then played with a bow which I supervised while continuing to look at ribbons. The employee followed my toddler around asking her for the bow and stating (again) that the regional manager is in today. Pretty sure the regional manager expects the store to have customers. I guess her thank you was a passive aggressive way of saying stop touching our merchandise. Well, I’ll stop touching it because I won’t be back.
