    I spent over an hour walking the store trying to find an employee who could cut fiberglass. During that time, multiple employees were visible but were on their phones and ignored customers who needed assistance. After finally getting the fiberglass cut, I proceeded to self-checkout and properly scanned and paid for my items. As I was leaving the store, I was stopped by police and accused of only scanning one item. During this encounter, the officers removed the fiberglass from my hands, and one piece hit the ground and cracked on the edge. I was told by the manager that it was “one piece of board that had been cut,” and the situation was treated as a joke. I did not notice the damage until I arrived home. There is nothing funny about a paying customer being accosted by police over merchandise that was clearly paid for—especially after a prolonged lack of employee assistance. The situation was embarrassing, frustrating, and completely avoidable. I considered uploading a video of the incident to TikTok to document what occurred, but that is simply not my style. I do not believe in bashing businesses or tarnishing anyone’s image. I am bringing this matter directly to Lowe’s because I expect accountability, professionalism, and corrective action—not public spectacle. If Lowe’s expects customers to self-scan their own purchases, the company has a responsibility to ensure customers can safely leave the property with their paid merchandise and are not subjected to police intervention due to internal failures. I expect this issue to be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. Update I reached out to Lowe’s about the incident with no resolve I’m currently back in Lowe’s waiting to get my Materials cut and I’ve been waiting over an hour so I only did. They did not solve the issue with the broken fiberglass board before. Apparently they have not addressed the associates at this Lowe’s.

    Outstanding experience with Lowe’s Home Improvement. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled properly. You can tell they take pride in their work and value customer satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend them
