    I am a few months late, but I have been meaning to write about the excellent customer service I received at Lowe’s in Jefferson City, TN, over the holidays. I purchased a Christmas tree and I have a small car. A Lowe’s employee named Storm spent at least 15 minutes helping me to get my tree into the car — not an easy task — and he was very friendly and gracious about it. Thank you, Storm!

    Two separate visits, two terrible experiences. One with Dona and one with Zoe at the front end of the Jefferson City, TN Lowe’s. Both were rude, dismissive, and acted like customers were an inconvenience. No greeting, no basic courtesy. Dona said she’s been here 13 years — that makes the attitude even more disappointing. And the self-checkout situation is ridiculous. I don’t work here. I shouldn’t have to check myself out or feel like a burden for wanting a real cashier. Management seriously needs to address front-end customer service.

    Lowes, you should really have some system in place to make sure customers are aware of the return policy on appliances. I bought a microwave on Christmas Eve and due to tine constraints wasn’t able to install it until a week later. When I took it out of the box the whole side was dented in and damaged. When I tried to return it I was told I was out of luck as appliances only had a 48 hour return window. Luckily I found online where I used my Lowe’s card I had 30 days to return. The store was no help to me in the return process when I bought something from them damaged. They didn’t even know about the policy when using a Lowe’s credit card. I will be buying my appliances somewhere else from now on. Yes I was able to get a replacement but the customer service and return policy is junk
