  I recently had a very disappointing experience at the Hobby Lobby on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I wanted to purchase a table that had visible scratches and chips on it. In the past, I have seen Hobby Lobby offer small discounts on damaged items, so I politely asked the manager on the floor if a small discount—at least 5%—could be applied because of the condition of the table. The manager refused to help and said they no longer offer discounts for damaged items. What made the experience worse was the way he spoke to me. He was very rude and looked at me as if my question was unreasonable or foolish. I am a U.S. Army veteran and a loyal customer, and I have shopped at this location many times. The saddest part is that even the cashiers recognized us and mentioned that the situation could have been handled differently and that a small adjustment like that has been done before. As someone who is also a manager, I know that situations like this can be handled with better customer service and fairness. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable—just a small discount on a clearly damaged item. Because of how this was handled, I will no longer be shopping at the Gunbarrel Road location in Chattanooga. I hope the store reviews how situations like this are handled so other loyal customers are treated with more respect.

  I love hobby lobby!!! Theres many interesting things to look at and its such a big store. My only complaint is that it is SO expensive in here! I go in and just look around every time because nothing is reasonably priced. A little necklace pendant was about 6 dollars and it was made out of those cheap metals that turns your skin green AND it wasnt a necklace, just the pendant. That seems outragous theyre cheaply made and bad quality either lower the prices or find better quality items that are worth the extra money.

  I was told I could get 3 yards of same fabric but have it cut in to 1 yard pieces...the cutter said no...she had to do continuous cuts.. her boss was beside her and she asked if she could do it and was told NO! her boss and another lady were very rude.. she said it keeps the line down...I had waited through 2 previous cuttings and was last in line! No one behind me of even around! I will not be going there again! I had gone there at Christmas to buy angels to be informed they didn't have them...no angels AT HL??? wow! I guess yall joined the cracker barrel culture...wontbe going back!
