This review is long over due.
The Lowe’s on East Blackstock Rd in Spartanburg should be the flagship location on training employees and new hires on how to provide exceptional customer service. The employees we encountered on our visit were all very polite and friendly and provided informative answers and feedback.
We want to give a shout out to several employees who without a doubt went above and beyond to help us.
Nate and Teresa, in the flooring department answered all of our questions and gave excellent details for us to choose the carpeting and padding we needed. Nate takes a genuine interest in helping us out and followed up a couple days later to see if we had any further questions.
Christy, manager, helped out so much with choosing the bathroom cabinet and the various options we had to choose from. After deciding on the bathroom cabinet she also helped us with several other items on our list of remodeling concerns we had.
Lowe’s on Blackstock is now our go to location for any and all of our home projects.

Tried to get assistance at 8:40pm, needed help with making a key. I asked one of the 4 cashiers at the self checkout if they could watch my keys while I break this 20 dollar bill because they refused to do it at self checkout. The cashier refused my request so I had to go to customer service and risk the chance of my keys being stolen. I had to wait 15 minutes after they called a manager to assist me, and the keys never got made because I was swiftly rushed out the door due to them closing and the machine timed out and didn’t issue a refund of any sort. Lost 15 dollars and my time. It would’ve been helpful if they weren’t fully closed down 20 minutes prior to their actual closing time. Or if a single employee would go out of their way to help. Definitely will never return to this lowes again.
