They have steadily increased the rate in the few years that I’ve been there and now it’s beyond ridiculous. I got a letter stating that my monthly rate was increasing to $195. I don’t think so. Immediately scheduled my move out and rented a unit at another facility down the road.

Extra Space gave me a competitive rate and I moved over. Three months later they levied a 60% increase on my account. Claiming this was market related. I had no notice, no choice, although they claim to have sent a letter in the post, which is strange as all my invoices and agreements came via email. Obviously I never received any letter, but hey I can’t argue that. Please be very careful selecting this company as they are dishonest and deceive you out of your hard earned money. They are taking advantage of good people. This is well planned out strategy, the employees have been very well trained on how to answer and reply to complaints. They know that moving out is a pain. Now I have to get my stuff and move out as I won’t support companies that are not honest and don’t treat customers with the respect they deserve. Probably will get some sort of notice now that they are canceling my lease anyway… be warned.
