Travis. This is the store manager at the newberry Lowe's. Let that name be the first thing anyone reads, because he is the reason for the five stars. After ordering a tool cabinet from the lowes online store, I received a damaged product. The toolbox wasn't damaged beyond repair, however, it was quite expensive, so I expected the product to come in good condition. I returned it to the newberry location, where I met Travis. He listened to my concerns and agreed to give me a full refund, including shipping costs, and reorder the tool cabinet, if I want it again. However, upon reordering, we discovered that the product was out of stock and discontinued. It was going to have to be this damaged box, or something else entirely. He realized that I really wanted that cabinet, after listening to me explain that I had been watching it for a year, so he offered to resell the returned tool cabinet at a 30% discount. I accepted the discounted price and left that store feeling like I was valued more than the store's profit. That's rare these days. The type of service you typically could only get from a small mom and pop store, rather than a big corporation. So thank you to Travis for making my local Lowe's feel like a family store, and I hope many others have similar interactions with him, valuing quality of service, over profit margin.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
