- SMS MOct 14, 20251.0DO NOT RENT CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT FROM THIS FACILITY!! We rented a climate controlled unit to store vehicle and personal contents for six months. Upon return to the unit we found our vehicle inside covered with MOLD and MILDEW, as well as our personal contents. It is obvious that there was not climate control within the unit as mold wouldn’t have formed without the appropriate hot moist conditions. The insurance we purchased through Extra Space denied the claim for interior detailing to remediate the mold because there was no named peril provided by the facility. You’ve been warned, rent at your own risk!!!
