- HMHeather Malone-GrippeJan 9, 20261.0Today the woman at the register was down right condescending and rude when I wanted to return unopened food items, as well as non food items. She said they do not take unopened food items back but she'd do me "a favor". According to their customer service representatives at their 800 number and their actual receipts, they do in fact take them as returns. I was embarrassed and upset by her tone with me. I did return her attitude though, when she asked me to insert the card I used for the return because I didn't have it with me. Then she asked me if I was getting rude with her-SMH!!! Seriously! I had used tap to pay. What store doesn't do return to card automatically this day and age? Anyway, hourly employees really dont need to give attitude- unless of course your bosses dont want you to take returns because the store numbers suck. Thats a whole other story. I've worked over 30 years in retail, why do some folks feel the need to show authority when you're a cashier! ??
