You’re forced to check yourself out, bag your own items—even in the garden center where the cashier literally just hands you the items to bag yourself. On top of that, it’s absolutely unacceptable that no one answers the phone when customers call. We are paying customers, not unpaid employees. Lowe’s needs to do better. The customer service here is unacceptable. Employees show bad attitudes and act like customers are a burden. When I asked for help getting items from a higher shelf, the employee acted like I was bothering her and didn’t even acknowledge me. On top of already being expected to check myself out and bag my own items, this kind of treatment makes it clear Lowe’s has forgotten that customers keep the doors open. We are not employees—we are paying customers and deserve respect and service.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
