95% of the time have what I need and the other 5% the workers tell me where I can get the item I need. Always friendly and quick customer service.

I went into the Lowes Boiling Springs on 11-29-25 and made a simple purchase at the self checkout. The computer froze up and an employee came over, tried to cancel the transaction, and ran my card again. I asked "Will I be charged twice for this?" and the employee said, "No." After looking at my credit card statement, I found I was charged twice for this same transaction and was never refunded. I called the store to speak with someone. They evidently were not available but the employee I spoke with said they'd leave a message for the head cashier and they would call me back. Did they ever call me back? No! I had to call again to try and get this refunded. I ended up speaking with 4 different individuals including a customer service employee, then the head cashier, then her manager, and then the store manager named SANDRA to request a refund. They ALL 4 denied me and refused to refund this double charge. This is all because of their fault - it was their computer that froze up. It was their employee that ran my card a second time and told me I wouldn't be charged twice. And it is pitiful that even the store manager would not refund me. This will go to corporate. This should have been a very simple refund to take care of but all I got was a runaround with a bunch of nonsense. Pitiful. I will never again go to that store in my life. Buyer beware!

One older guy in the back door area is very helpful. The older guy in power tools is as well. Other than that bad experiences almost every time. Home Depot isn’t much further away.

I purchased a generac generator on 1/24/26 at the Boiling Springs SC store. I brought it home assembled and added gas. I turned the gas valve on and it started leaking from the bowl. I pumped the gas out. I waited until 1/27/26 to take it back to the store, because of road conditions. I was told it was past the 48 hour return policy and I put gas in it. They told me to call generac to claim warranty. I called the number from the response that lowes sent back and the situation that I wrote earlier. I was told it was out of the 48 hour policy and was nothing they would do. I explained to the customer rep that roads were solid ice and could not get to Lowes. He cut me off and forwarded me to generac.

My husband ordered 4 items online and decided to try the delivery option since he couldn’t get over before the sale ended. They charged him for 4, however he only received 3 of the 4 (picture of the delivery showed 3). Now, it wasn’t an expensive item, but it was something he needed to finish one of the components of his new woodworking shop. He unsuccessfully attempted multiple times during the week (while at his job) to contact the store about the missing item. According to the online customer service representative (chat) it was acknowledged that the item was missing and that the Boiling Springs Lowe’s had been made aware of the mistake and someone would contact him within 24 hours (NOT). After 3 times of going through the online chat and never getting a call or email back, he went into the store on his first day off. The manager/assistant manager were obviously too overwhelmed with their jobs, because the customer service woman couldn’t get either of them to help her correct the situation. So after both “managers” rudely dismissed her, she finally went to the young man working “order pickup”. He looked up our order and verified the item that was missing. He went to look for said item. He came back a few minutes later, apologized and said they do not even carry that item in the store. Unhelpful “management” did nothing to try and resolve the matter. So in short you can order something from Lowe’s , they will bill you for it but you may or may not get the item. Unfortunately, they just let a $13 item cost thousands of dollar's (every year) in our business. Way to go Lowe’s!
