  I had a really frustrating experience at this World Market. They had the perfect end table for my couch, and since my mom was only in town for a limited time, she wanted to purchase it for me while she was visiting. We brought the table up to the front, continued shopping, and when we went to check out, we were told it was the “floor model” and not for sale, even though it was sitting out on the floor with a price tag displayed. We were also told they had no additional inventory in stock and that a new shipment wouldn’t be coming in for quite some time. What made the situation more disappointing was the lack of any real solution. No substitution was offered, no similar items were suggested, and the only option we were given was to go online ourselves, pay for shipping, and order it through the website, which they couldn’t even assist us with in store. Overall, it felt like a huge letdown after finding exactly what I wanted and planning to purchase it that same day. I understand floor models sometimes aren’t available, but it should be clearly marked, or staff should be willing to help find an alternative.

  Since the World Market closed several years ago I have been coming to this one. Everything is displayed nicely and the store is clean. The employees are friendly and helpful.

  I stopped in last month (Dec 16) with my local friends while visiting the islands. I love the World Market, it has such variety and the prices are reasonable. I wasn't really looking for anything, my friend was shopping for pasta shells and sauce that she likes from here. I happened upon a bag of lime tortillas chips, which turned out to go perfectly with my leftover guacamole from Cinco's Grill. I also found some precious 'Dog Mom' slippers for my daughter who lives in Beaufort. And topped it off with a nice bottle of wine to share with my Bluffton buddy, who graciously played my hostess during my stay. The store was organized well and clean. The staff were available, even though they were busy and friendly. I'm sure I'll be back during my next visit and will find other unique items that I'll love!
