    I called and spoke to a manager regarding returning 2 generators. Austin told me that I was able to return them since it was within 30 days of purchase and I confirmed that they were unopened, but one did not have plastic straps as I did not receive it with plastic straps. He told me to bring them in. I confirmed he would be working on the day we were bringing it in being that we had to drive over an hour an to get to the store. We arrived at the store and the customer service lady confirmed with me that he was working, she called him to confirm my story before telling me to unload. I unloaded and bring the generators in and Barbara the customer service manager refuses to return the one because it doesn’t have plastic straps, even though it has the company manufacturing tape and it is clear it has not been opened. Her only reason is to point to the sign that states, “Unused returns in original, undamaged box with factory seal have a 30-day return window”. No where does the sign state plastic straps are required. I asked to speak to Austin and Barbara lies and tells me he’s not there. Kicker is they move me to a register at the end where the manager above Barbara could sneak and authorize the one return around the corner without being seen, it was Austin because I recognized his voice. Meanwhile, during my whole ordeal an employee comes in to return a generator no plastic straps and she’s in and out in under 2 mins. It was obvious by the looks on everyone’s faces this was an unfortunate timing that she walked in and they rushed to get her out ASAP after some whispering occurred. Glad to know employees aren’t held to the same “rules”. I asked to return to the extended protection plan on the generator they refused to take back, they refused to do that too. Said since they would not be receiving the product they would not be retuning the protection plan. I said I have 30 days to return a protection plan regardless of returning an item. I was told “we don’t do that here”. Horribly disappointed in my first and only experience at this store. Disappointed that Austin didn’t stand up for what we discussed and instead coward to the back, wouldn’t even come speak to me to my face. What kind of manager is that?? We are done with Lowes after this; cancelling our credit card and moving on. Terrible customer service!
