  Muy decepcionado con el suceso que me tocó vivir el día de hoy con algunos empleados de esta tienda donde la conducta de uno muestra un acto de racismo muy inaceptable y el otro intentando ocultar las acciones de tal persona que llega hasta el límite de decirme que por lo que pasó no me van a cobrar lo que fui a comprar absolutamente le dije que no porque no fui allí para salir con nada de gratis fui a buscar una solución a un problema que tenía y lo que encontré fue unas acciones muy lamentable ya que me hicieron sentir muy mal la verdad es que para mí eso se convierte en un lugar poco seguro y de fiar ya que el intentar ocultar deja mucho que pensar.

  I would like to recognize an outstanding employee at the East York Lowe’s. On Friday, March 20th at approximately 6:30 a.m., I had purchased five bags of heavy stone. When I brought my cart outside, I noticed there was no one in the parking lot available to help. Out of nowhere i heard someone say, can I help you load those into your car. An employee named Leigh approached me and kindly offered to load the bags into my car. I was genuinely impressed by his positive attitude, especially so early in the morning. He was pleasant and showed a willingness to help that went above and beyond expectations—especially assisting an older customer like myself. Leigh also offered to return my cart, which I greatly appreciated. Employees like Leigh are what keep customers coming back. His professionalism, kindness, and initiative truly deserve recognition. He is a tremendous asset, and East York Lowe’s is fortunate to have Leigh on their team.

  If I could give this store zero stars, I would. Lowe’s of York has become the perfect example of how a home improvement retailer should not operate. Walking in, you expect to find basic parts, fittings, and hardware—simple items that any competent store should keep stocked. Instead, you’re met with empty shelves, missing essentials, and a frustrating pattern that feels less like an accident and more like a business model. The most infuriating issue is their habit of not carrying individual parts. Need a basic $5 fitting? A small connector? A single replacement piece? Good luck. If they have anything even remotely close to what you need, it’s only available as part of a massive $50–$60 “kit” filled with items you don’t want, don’t need, and will never use. It’s wasteful, it’s expensive, and it’s absolutely unacceptable. This isn’t a one-time inconvenience—it’s a recurring problem. Every visit turns into the same story: shelves missing the exact part required, employees shrugging because “that’s all corporate sends,” and customers forced into overspending on bloated bundles just to get one tiny component. It’s the kind of nickel-and-diming that drives people straight to competitors. A hardware store should make projects easier, not harder. Lowe’s of York has turned even the simplest repair into a scavenger hunt followed by a shakedown. I’m done wasting time and money here. Until they start stocking the basics and stop forcing customers into overpriced kits, this location deserves every bit of this 1-star rating. There are plenty of places that respect their customers’ time and wallets. Unfortunately, Lowe’s of York is not one of them.
