I bought an expensive dust collection system that on the app gave a 15 zero tracking number and said delivered. It had not been delivered an I was very frustrated because FedEx was no help. I called this Lowe’s and Mrs. Vess immediately found information on this order and went above and beyond contacting the vendor, getting the right tracking number, and emailing me all this information. I want to thank Lowe’s for being so considerate with my time and concerned about my issue.

Walking in, you expect to find basic parts, fittings, and hardware—simple items that any competent store should keep stocked. Instead, you’re met with empty shelves, missing essentials, and a frustrating pattern that feels less like an accident and more like a business model. The most infuriating issue is their habit of not carrying individual parts. Need a basic $5 fitting? A small connector? A single replacement piece? Good luck. If they have anything even remotely close to what you need, it’s only available as part of a massive $50–$60 “kit” filled with items you don’t want, don’t need, and will never use. It’s wasteful, it’s expensive, and it’s absolutely unacceptable. This isn’t a one-time inconvenience—it’s a recurring problem. Every visit turns into the same story: shelves missing the exact part required, employees shrugging because “that’s all corporate sends,” and customers forced into overspending on bloated bundles just to get one tiny component. It’s the kind of nickel-and-diming that drives people straight to competitors. A hardware store should make projects easier, not harder. Lowe’s of York has turned even the simplest repair into a scavenger hunt followed by a shakedown. I’m done wasting time and money here. Until they start stocking the basics and stop forcing customers into overpriced kits, this location deserves every bit of this 1-star rating. There are plenty of places that respect their customers’ time and wallets. Unfortunately, Lowe’s of York is not one of them.

- LSLindsay StrayerJan 30, 20261.0Google said they carry washing machine suspension rods in store so i went in to see if they had any for my washer because when i ordered online from amazon they sent the wrong size support pieces. Couldnt find them so I tried to find help. Had no less than 8 workers see me and run in the opposite direction, which is typical of Lowe's, main reason I prefer home depot. Finally caught one and he had no idea what i was talking about, so he pulled out his phone and said "we've got pedestals..." also listed a few other things completely unrelated, before just walking away. Then they turned the lights off, and I made my way up to the front, where the door was locked and the guy getting carts ignored me trying to get out. Luckily I know how to unlock those doors. Maybe I wouldnt have been there so late if SOMEONE would have helped me in the first 10 minutes I was there

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
