- LFLa FaNov 13, 20251.0Broke a Phillips head Kobalt screwdriver yesterday. Only time in my like for failure of this type of screwdriver. Took it to Lowes in Washington for a replacement under their 'lifetime hassle free' guarantee that is bogus. They refused to replace it because they said it came from a tool set and I needed to call Kobalt customer service for a replacement. They additionally stated there was no link with Lowes and Kobalt (owned by Lowes according to Wikipedia). Blatant lies. Kobalt customer service was answered by Lowes customer service who gave me a number and told me to return to the store. Blatant liars with the biggest hassal I ever experienced returning an item. I suggest shopping elsewhere if looking for quality guaranteed tools. Wasted another 15 minutes calling customer service as suggested below. Believe Lowes refers to it as customer disservice department.

The appliance was delivered today and she called me very upset! The new refrigerator was delivered and left in her living room with the doors propped up on her sofa and the old refrigerator still in same spot! I called Lowe’s and have to call back tomorrow to discuss. I am appalled that this 83 year old lady was treated in this manner! What happened to customer service these days! Wow!

When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
