Back in September my wife and I stopped in the La-Z-Boy on Viewmont Drive in Scranton. We have two La-Z-Boy recliners that we bought there back in 2006. If it weren't for our cat, they would still be great. Michael Langan greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful and patient as we sat in multiple recliners. Before we bought anything we wanted our adult son to come sit in the chair we picked out, because he works from home and uses one of the recliners as his work station. Skip ahead to this past Saturday, November 1. We finally made it back to the store and Michael came over to greet us. We had our adult son as well as our 9 year old son. My adult son needed to sit in every chair in the place twice or three times, at least that's what it seemed like to me. My 9 year old had no idea there were so many chairs to choose from and had a great time trying them all. Michael was patient and never made us feel rushed. Eventually, after what was way to long to pick out a chair, we settled on one and made the purchase. Michael was really helpful for several reasons: 1. He knew his products and was able to guide us based on the information we provided after sitting in each chair. For example, too narrow, to firm, to squishy; all that kind of stuff. 2. He was extremely patient with our 9 year old and engaged with him in, having fun. He was extremely patient with my adult son as he spent an hour trying every chair multiple times. 3. He came across as genuine, helping us make a decision instead of being a pushy salesman.
