  I had a very disappointing experience with Extra Space Storage. I moved out of my unit on the exact date that was scheduled. I completely emptied the garage and removed all of my belongings. However, 11 days later I received a call saying that I supposedly still owe $200. This makes absolutely no sense. The unit was already vacated and no one informed me about any additional charges when I moved out. Calling customers almost two weeks later and demanding more money feels extremely unprofessional and unfair. This kind of billing practice creates the impression that the company is trying to charge customers after the fact without clear justification. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Extra Space Storage. Make sure you double-check everything with them before moving out, otherwise you may end up with unexpected charges even after you leave. Very frustrating experience.

  Bethany was awesome. I don’t have anything bad to say about the staff. It’s the actual storage. On my move out date I discovered a lot of mice droppings all in a lot of my belongings. I had to throw out a lot of stuff because of it. I never experienced that from other storage places just this one. And lastly i wasn’t informed of the rental increase in from 200 to 300$ plus.

  Bethany went above and beyond in helping me secure my storage unit I am looking forward to continuing renting from this facility with great prices and friendly staff

  How this place doesnt have anything but one star is insane. Ill get to the main point that they doubled my rent from 100 to 200+ after a couple months but first: when I first got my unit it wasnt even closed off from the adjoining unit. I addressed it, nothing was done and I had to tape cardboard up so my neighbor couldn't reach or hop over and go shopping. Next, the security gate that was a huge selling point hasnt worked in over a month and was told "its an optional anemity". Also after it snowed i couldn't even access my unit unless i shoveled bc they plowed the snow in front of the doors. This is all during the time where they unexpectedly raised my rent from $100 to $200+. I received a letter less than a month from deadline saying my rent was now $180. Went to speak to them and she acted real nice and offered to lower it to $150. Decided to stay for another month or so and now went to pay my bill and its the $180! Was told that the new rate letter doesnt include tax and additional charges which means they were going to raise it more than double in one month. I get stuff has become more costly but would love to know the excuse for more than doubling. Considering the lack of price inclusion, dishonesty, and state of this place can only assume they have to rob you to keep it going. Id love to keep going but I now have 24 hours to move all my belongings somewhere theyre safe. Update: Not sure why "the owner" bothers to respond and appear concerned when they just provide you the phone number to people unauthorized to make any corrections. Quickly relaized I was speaking to the same person I did last night and accomplished nothing, why even bother with the generic response?
