  I can't give this company the benefit of the doubt any more. The constant use of leaf blowers has me fatigued and trying to deal with the fumes far too many days each month. (The Environmental Advisory Council in our Township wants to end gas-powered leaf-blowing; why isn't Friel on board?) My unit is on the ground floor and the patio nook holds those fumes all day. As soon as the company can in March, they start mowing the hell out of the grounds. No respect shown for suburban biodiversity or tree roots. The massive dousings of chemical treatments are dreaded by a number of people here, particularly immunocompromised residents. Some people might think the chemicals have some kind of desirable effect; they are supposed to kill anything leafy and leave the grass. In fact, the areas that are taped off and left alone don't have the invasive lesser celandine which covers the sprayed areas. And the grass looks no better where the spraying is done. The chemicals inevitably run off into the property's pond; no wonder the algae in the pond grows out of control. The pond connects with Trout Creek, so the chemical pollution impacts a much wider area than this one multi-unit complex. I am, in summary, fed up with big companies that constitute chronic environmental and health nuisances, and Friel is absolutely of this ilk.
