- LLLynnAug 6, 20211.0First of all I want to say that KeyMe is either a part of or partnered with Lock Smith Services/24 Hour Lock Smith. - If you call their number the automated message says Lock Smith Services, If the company calls you they say 24 Hour Lock Smith. It's confusing I know. 2 Weeks ago I called KeyMe requesting a FOB for my car. I only needed a FOB. The dispatcher seemed confused so I said I needed a remote for the car and she said it was fine and had one of their locksmiths contact me right after I got off the phone with her. I again stated on the phone with the locksmith that I need a FOB for my car. He said that it was fine, he said he didn't have and FOBs available and that he needed to order one. It would take about a week. After we hung up Lock Smith Services called me confirming the order, they quoted me $165 (which I was happy with because it costs twice as much at the dealership). I get a call on Monday. The locksmith said he was going to arrive to my house in 20mins. Waited for about a half hour. Called his number, which routed me to Lock Smith Services talked to the dispatcher he said the lock smith is not suppose to come until Friday because he still did not have the part for my car. Today (Friday) the locksmith comes (this is the same locksmith I have been in contact with since the beginning). He checks out the car and asks me questions about the car. He asks if I needed a key made. I said I need the remote, the FOB. He looked at me confused and said let me see if I have it. He did not. I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks. Been given the run around about them needing to order me the "part." They did NOT have it. Called Lock Smith Services. They knew all my information but didn't know that I wanted a FOB from the very beginning????? So ridiculous. Stay away from this service. Stay away from KeyMe, Lock Smith Services/24 Hour Lock Smith.
