I don’t normally leave reviews, but after repeated issues, I feel this needs to be said. I run a construction company, and reliable material delivery is critical to keeping jobs on schedule. Two weeks ago, I placed a large flooring order sourced out of the Lowe's Home Improvement store and scheduled delivery for today. I received a confirmation text the night before stating it would arrive between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. When the delivery never showed, I called at 1:40 PM only to find out the order had been canceled early that morning. I was told an email was sent, but I never received anything. The reason given was that the order required a flatbed truck. That raises a serious question—why wasn’t that identified at the time of purchase, especially with two weeks’ notice? Because of this failure, I had a full day scheduled with a homeowner and employees on site. Everyone sat waiting on material that never came. As a small company, I typically run one job at a time to maintain quality control, so when a scheduled delivery like this doesn’t show up, it’s extremely detrimental. Not only do I lose credibility with my customer, but I still have payroll going out for the day while bringing in zero revenue—I actually lose money. I’m not a large company that can absorb that kind of hit, and it impacts me significantly. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. This has happened multiple times, and each time I’m told it will be “made right” and that my business is valued. But nothing ever changes, there’s no real follow-through, and I’ve never received any form of compensation for the losses caused. It’s the same promises over and over again with the same outcome. As a smaller contractor, it’s hard not to feel like I’m constantly pushed aside in favor of larger accounts. Even today, after expressing the urgency, I was told my rescheduled delivery would likely be the last stop of the day after going through Pittsburgh first. Whether intentional or not, the pattern is clear. What’s most frustrating is that I’ve tried to stay loyal to Lowe’s. But situations like this make it incredibly difficult to continue doing business here. For other contractors reading this—especially smaller companies—reliability matters. I would strongly consider where you choose to build your supplier relationships moving forward.

Most of the employees on the floor are not experienced in helping you find what you need. They are nice but it’s a maze to find what you need especially for small things like plumbing. They don’t have enough staff for organizing flooring, cabinets, countertops.

Once you hit a cashier up it takes 20 mins to get out the door. Every. Freaking. Time. This place is a hassle. A million employees and most don't want to help. Lowes customer service is the worst. HD is night and day better.

Seems pretty high priced and I wasn't thrilled about picking paint out i chose the cheaper paint and the gentleman at the counter handed my 2 gallons of paint to me and I got to the register to find he chose the more expensive gallon! And there was nothing i could do because he already dyed the paint the color I wanted....just didnt plan on spending that much on a gallon of paint .... and the lady at the check out wasn't very helpful and hard to understand 😕 I was trying to be patient and kind but I dont think ill be going back soon ... 😔
